Department of Robotics
University of Dr.PSJKumar
Department of Robotics, University of Dr.PSJKumar covers a wide range of technology to create future robotics, from industrial robots used in super aging society and self-controlled smart mechanical systems to aerospace robots and smart society as extended concepts of robotics. Research projects includes variety of topics such as the coordinated control systems of intelligent robots, autonomous robots, self-learning robots, sensor technology based medical robots, and nano-robots using DNA as a material. The style of the researches is completely fabricated, ranging over the construction of theory, design, simulation, prototype, test and implementation in our society.
Established in the year 2022, the department is among the top robotics department in United States and India. The department of robotics emphasizes physical understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics, differential motion and energy method, design and control of robotic arms and mobile robots, and actuators, drives, and transmission. The department focuses on algorithmic thinking and computation, computer vision and perception, planning and control for manipulation, localization and navigation, machine learning for robotics, and human-robot systems. Weekly laboratories include design and fabrication of robotic arms and vehicles, robot vision and navigation, programming and system integration using Robot Operating System. Group term project builds intelligent robots for specific applications of interest.
